HOT! The minute she uttered this word, I know I am greeting the right person: DAWN SHERLOCK :)

The Double Combo Fun Workshop on Sunday, 25 September 2005 @ Lakeview Club is a poignant weekend and distinctly different from others.

Rockin’ Robin flitted in just in time, and together with Dawn, cleverly put together 4 dance teaches that kept all the dancers on the floor for 4 straight hours!

IRISH STEW Choreographed by Lois Lightfoot to “Irish Stew” by Sham Rock

Just like the stew that is easy to make, we were delighted to find out that the dance is equally easy and fit the music to the ‘T’.

BE STRONG Choreographed by: Audrey Watson to “The Words ‘I Love You’ by Chris De Burgh

Another magnificent choice! Great track with wonderful dance. Has been around since November 2004, but how did we miss this gem? 2 easy tags and dance all the way.

AH-AH AH Choreographed by Guyton Mundy to “Bonanza” by Akon

We were in stitches, even before Count 1 of the dance. Robin, our once-a-month-weekend therapist coolly taught us to utter ah-ah-ah and shake our bodies like belly dancers (oh-well, almost!).

TRULY MADLY DEEPLY Choreographed by Karen Hunn to "Truly, Madly, Deeply" by Savage Garden

This is a nice cooling-down number. Smooth flowing dance, soothing track. Stress-free, no restarts, no tags. What a refreshing change from the numerous difficult dances we get these days.

The evening was meaningful as we have good Samaritans who sponsored for the underprivileged children from Philea Home to join us for the dinner/jamming party. These children rarely get to have any outings. Watching them happily chomping down the food certainly drove home the message – how lucky we really are.

Dawn and Robin taught these children a simple dance. Hearing the laughter ringing through the dance hall and the innocent smiles on the children’s faces is so heart-warming.

HappyFeet thank our friends and Philea Home in joining us on this special occasion. The dances taught lent a sense of goodwill and lighthearted rapport amongst all those present. What a great sharing session!

And the wonderful feeling of comradeship continued into Singapore the following weekend with fabulous dance teaches by Dawn. Check out Robin’s website www.thewildwestsg.net to find out more!

September has always been a special month to me, and this year, it is exceptionally meaningful with friends like Dawn & Robin. A Big Terima Kasih to you both (and the extremely pleasing Paul) for Doubling the Fun! :)
