DAWN SHERLOCK (OF SHABEDA), Birmingham writes:

My background from the age of three has been ballroom and Latin but my love, love, love is LINE DANCING.

My favourite dance at the moment is Serenity. I am a sucker for waltzes. The dance that makes me run to the floor is Deeply Completely.

My line dance mentor would have to be Rob Fowler. He has always encouraged me to move on and up and is one the nicest people in linedancing and is always there if you need a hand.

My linedance Heroine would have to be Rachael McEnaney. She is a wonderful dancer and I love the way she isnt scared of having a go at what the fellas are doing and she is a fantastic teacher.

If I am choreographing a dance my inspiration comes from the music. I have to like the music first, then I enjoy playing around with steps, especially when Shaz and Myself gang up on Baby Ben.

I love all aspects of music and I don't mind if its Pop, Jazz Country whatever as long as its good.

I have one little dog who is 16yrs old called Scamp & a puppy called Scooby Doo.

My Favourite food is Curries

My favourite drink is Tea by the gallon & Lager. LOL

If i had to take one thing with me to a desert island it would be Paul McAdam.

My favourite saying is Phenomenal.

Things that make me laugh are: all my friends. We have amazing times at weekends

Things that make me sad are; Goodbyes, the end of a fantastic weekend with all my friends,

I go to A & S ( Soham) to learn my dances or I learn them on a weekend at events. I love linedancing with a passion. I especially love the people I meet and the friends I have made. I reach anything from beginner to advanced. I love em all!! I have a good sense of humour (I hope), and I live life to the max. I don't do boring or serious because I have to enjoy what I do very much. I have a fantastic array of friends and I love them all very much.

I have taught at quite a few places. The Winter Gardens Blackpool, Pontins Southport and Brean and Blackpool, The Civic Wolverhampton. I am in Ireland this year twice and I do a lot of teaching for my friends. Some of the dances I've choreographed are: Teach Me To Dance; VIvacious; Just In Love; Gotta Have Faith, Woteva, and others that you can see at this link www.linedancermagazine.co.uk. http://www.linedancermagazine.com/asp/searchdancescriptsresults.asp And put in my name. I will be teaching in the United States for the first time this year and look forward to meeting many new friends as I expand my horizons.

Love
Dawn Sherlock
